1. What inspired the creation of $YFU? Is there a backstory or theme behind it?

Waifu on Sui started as a funny joke because we see so many white men marrying Asian Women, we call them Waifus. We realised that, behind many white multi-millionaires/billionaires, there’s an Asian woman who rarely gets the spotlight or attention. Think Mark Zuckerberg, Brain Armstrong, and Reid Hoffman. Our Sui/Mysten Co-founders, Evan and Sam, both have an Asian Waifus. How often do you hear about them? Not much. But we all know, they are powerhouses and they run the show in the household. It’s time for us to bring the real bosses out.

1. Who are the core devs/contributors and the team behind $YFU?

The core devs are web3 natives who have worked with other crypto projects, including L1 and L2 blockchains. And are serial builders and operators. They prefer to remain anonymous and will not be doxxing. Mulan0x1, who some of you will get to connect with, is a core contributor, but her face will also remain hidden until we feel the time is right.

1. Are there any notable partnerships or collaborations supporting $YFU?

We have locked in a few big collaborations with high-performing projects and IRL businesses. We just announced our long-term partnership with $LOFI. We often share ALPHAs with our community early in the TG group and Waifu Out Loud Spaces. If you want the ALPHA, join us, and don’t be afraid to speak out. We love it when the community contributes.

1. What is the total supply of Token, and how’s the distribution?

• Total: 10B tokens
• Currently, the team controls: ~65%

We’ll make everything public on what we plan to do with the tokens; we are not interested in quick gains and will never endorse pump and dump projects.

1. What is the utility of $YFU as a Token?

It’s a Memecoin (Culture Token), not a utility token, but we are working on enabling the purchase of merch and AI based games amongst other features that will require $YFU tokens. This is also a way for us to onboard “normies” so we can teach and properly align incentives for users to get into the web3 space.
